The theme for the 2018 Grand Parade is Kaleidoscope.
Cairns is home to a vivid range of colours that reflect our beautiful tropical environment and interweave to create a rich blend of cultures; a kaleidoscope of ever-evolving patterns unique to our region. Using colour, patterns, light, sound and movement we’d love to see you join our kaleidoscopic parade.
The Grand Parade is one of Cairns’ most loved community events incorporating a day of free family entertainment along the Esplanade, leading in to the Grand Parade with increasing audiences from the region and around Australia. Culminating in a spectacular fireworks display it’s a wonderful way to celebrate the opening weekend of the Festival.
